Fireworks and phat cars

So my daughter played with the kids of friends at Chuck E. Cheese last week. (I actually still call it Showbiz, lol - I had my 9th birthday party there {in Naperville}; I still remember writing out the invitations to it, lol...) I didn’t go though because I was sleeping before I had to go to work (I work third/early first). But fear not, I have been threatened with ammonia salts the next time there’s a get together!! lmao

So where are my fellow yanks going to watch fireworks this year? Amazingly enough, I found a great spot last year - see, prior to that, since 1999 we’d watched them from my grandma’s parking lot - her apartment complex was situated on Peoria’s second steepest hill, and the lot faced the river (which is where they shoot them off from). Before that, ever since I can remember we watched them from Grandma’s office downtown - she had a huge corner office facing the river on - guess which floor? The 16th! It was saaweeeet! lol But then she retired in 1998 and I didn‘t have the cajones to ask the new lady if we could go there to see ‘em still. lol Anyway I can’t wait. I need an excuse to get some fresh air and see something aesthetically pleasing.
